Galleies in Tokyo

Note: Lists of galleies in Tokyo
I've been thinking my way in the future after graduating Chelsea because of Visa stuff as a forginer. I'm not allowed to stay in the UK after BA , which makes me so disapointed. The pssibiliti is't zero but it's still hard.. Sadly that's real and fact at the moment. Now I feel it's not enough time to work both arts and English  for 3 years so far, so I'd like to leran more in th UK honestly. But I can't afford to MA. So I should consider about working in Japan. So here is research of galleies in Tokyo

Humour

H
Humour

Humour has a critical dimension. To laugh can be a way of abstructing yourself from a situation, a way of negating its reality.

Humour can be a double-engaged weapon... The Last Clown 2000 was trying to illustrate that situation, with the artist and curator in their ultimate roles: the great entertainers, the acrobats, the ones expected to fall.

Perhaps because of its ridiculous or absurd quality, an artistic action becomes excusable, and sometimes it can make its way through unlikely situations because it simply cannot be taken seriously. Humour - or a humorous dimension - often allows you to bypass situations that would not otherwise have been allowed to happen if I had, for instance, a militant attitude.

aesthetic

If we evaluate recent artworks by aesthetic approach, what will happen?

I think artworks which attract me have aesthetic aspects in some way.

But I haven't really thought about  real aesthetic aspects recently.

I've just interpreted it by whether exciting or not, new or not?

What is aesthetic for me?

V&A- Japanese ceramics

I visited V&A to see Japanese ceramics for making sure of my latent sense as a Japanese. I might have a prejudice in favour of Japanese ceramics, but I think it showed  evidently unique beauty in comparison with others. Before all things, I could see them for long time without boring. The rolling surface, texture of clay and thickness of glaze, flaw, dripping,,,, even very small changes on the surface, for me, these are real beauty which combined boldness and delicate. The strong sense of touch was exciting, also comfortable at the same time.

It was surprising to see Lucie Rie!! I still remember its empty inside space.

I've never seen such a beautiful space cut out by thick carved lines!

I just like it. lovely bottles.

This pattern may be relevant to my work. It reminds me of chocolate!

Deep green colour.

Essay topic...

My work is painting which want to use and focus on gravity and  feeling of weight. I watched naturally running water and feel beauty in it. That reminded me of Japanese delicate sense in terms of relation between making use of gravity(nature) and creation of beauty.
Moreover, I remember what my professor said in lecture in my university in Japan. That was generally  western people have conquered nature in their garden, but Japanese have coexisted with nature in their garden. So I started to read a book: Japan-Nature, Artifice and Japanese culture written by Augustin Beroue.

Study support touter recommended  artists whose method are dripping and staining.
-Helen Frankenthaler
-Morris Louis
-Clyfford Still
But I feel they are little bit far from my idea. But Morris Louis seems to be relevant to my work.

I've been questioning about painting itself for long time. Especially I'm really interested in depth,
expanse of space and illusion in painting. I've seen many paintings and I found that paintings
which have perspective or depth spoke to me. It is because I like to feel spread of space.
