René Daniëls

Painting on Unknown Languages  in Camden arts centre. Paintings are focused on his work between 1980 and 1987.

Honestly, I didn't expect fantastic something in this exhibition before seeing his paintings because I thought it was a kind of normal when I saw it on the Internet. However, it was totally different from my first impression. Most paintings are loosely painted and rough brushstroke. The shape which looks like a perspectival drawing of a rooms appears again ad again. It made me feel depth of space so that I was comfortable with the shapes. The forms are geometric shape but distributing is very rough and intuitive. That is to say, there are harmony including primary colours.
