Gauguin:Tate Modern 30 Sep.2010 – 16 Jan.2011
I saw Gauguin’s exhibition for looking for a relation with my project. I’m gonna test out tomorrow.
Anyway, I got to be interested in his strong thick outline around objects. It seemed to reject for depth or relation between objets and space around object. That is a technic called 'Cloisonnisme' used by the Paul Gauguin and Emile Benard. It is characterized by areas of flat colour surrounded by heavy out line.
